Bristle-thighed Curlew - Numenius tahitiensis

Song: Flight call is a distinctive up-slurred "chiu-eet", intonation rises at the end as if asking a question: "chiu-eet?". Songs are a series of approximately 5 short whistled "wiiteew" followed by a complex repeated whine: "whee-oo-whee-oo-whee" or "pidl WHIDyoooo".
