Black-and-white Warbler - Mniotilta varia

Song: Song is a high-pitched deliberate "weezy-weezy-weezy-weezy" usually on the same pitch, likened to a squeaky wheel. Song is sometimes more complex, with one or two changes in rhythm giving a two or three-parted effect. Variant ends with a lower-pitched musical "spit-spit-spit". Can be confused with one song of American Redstart but Black-and-white Warbler is slower and more deliberate. Compare American Redstart, Bay-breasted, Cape May, and Blackburnian Warblers.
