Song: Displaying male utters rapid series of "kik" calls while performing exaggerated, stiff-winged butterfly soaring flight. Agitated call a rapid series of "cak-cak-cak-cak" calls. Departing the nest site, adults often give a series of low-pitched moaning alarm calls like a Pileated Woodpecker.
