Black-billed Cuckoo - Coccyzus erythropthalmus

Photo: Shirley A. Lannoo; 2010 Jul 13; Canada, Manitoba; near Bruxelles, Manitoba; Adult; Breeding;
Song: The most common advertising call is a series of "cu" notes in sets of two or more commonly three, similar to call of Least Bittern. "Cu-cu-cu" call often preceded by a series of descending gurgling croaks "krak-kruk-krok". Calls easily confused with those of Yellow-billed Cuckoo.
Sound: Macaulay Library (Macaulay Library, Cornell); Adult; Primary Sound;
