Photo: Ryan Clancy © Environment Canada; Adult; Breeding;
Song: Flight calls are a low squeaky staccato rattle "trik-tuk-tuk-tuk-tuk-tuk". Flight call is harder and more nasal than Short-billed Dowitcher. An abrupt "klew" used as a contact call. When flushed may give a long low rattle "k-k-k-k-k-k-k-k-k-k-k". Calls are generally lower than those of Black Turnstone.
Sound: Borror Laboratory of Bioacoustics; 1955 Aug 26; USA, Maine; Adult; Primary Sound;
